Merry Christmas

There’s something quietly nice about Christmas.

The day feels unofficial.
Time loosens up.
Even expectations seem to take a nap.

I like that about it.

It’s a day where doing less is not only allowed — it’s encouraged.
Where good food counts as a plan.
Where the world feels just a little softer around the edges.

I’m not in a reflective mood today.
I’m not trying to resolve the year or make sense of everything.

I’m enjoying the pause.

A warm meal.
A calm hour.
That strange, once-a-year feeling that nothing urgent is being asked of me.

That’s plenty.

If you’re reading this somewhere warm, enjoy it.
If you’re reading it in the middle of chaos, I hope you still find a quiet pocket of the day that feels easy.

Merry Christmas.
Nothing more required.
